Community

How FPX Nickel is supporting education, local business, and community wellbeing.

The FPX Community Office in Fort St. James is your local hub to learn more, ask questions, and get involved. Whether you’re a student, a business owner, or a community member, we are here to talk through project updates, answer questions, or help you apply for local programs.

The office (602 Stuart Drive West, Fort St. James) is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm but may be closed on occasion for staff to attend important local events.

FPX Nickel Bursary Program

FPX has established a Student Bursary Program through the Indspire organization—a Canadian Indigenous-led charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals through scholarships, mentorship, and community-driven programs. FPX is committed to supporting education and training, and we are proud to offer this bursary program to area First Nation members.

Community Investment Program

The Community Investment Program was established by FPX in 2024 to make a meaningful positive impact in the communities where we operate. Contributions are considered on an on-going basis and prioritized based on supporting initiatives that address inequality and closely align with our core company values. For example, in 2025 FPX provided funding to support free public skating and the Fort St. James Primary Care Society to promote food security in the community.
